With a degree in Anthropology and History, Ben has always been attracted to Mexico and it's incredible culture, diverse throughout, as well as it's remarkable history. It drew him here multiple times, driving down from Colorado with just his dog, Sage, and a surfboard. One of his trips drew him further, to the incredibly raw and exciting country of Nicaragua, in which Ben would spend five years successfully opening and operating three restaurants, and a legacy Surf Lodge on the beach near the world class surf of Playa Colorado and cultivating five star service, hospitality and professionalism within it. He also saw a need, and began as a general contractor there, building multiple homes from scratch, and acting, at times, as the engineer, the designer, and the architect. He joined his wife, Kassidy, in her non-profit organization called "The Sweet Water Fund" which is a grass roots foundation dedicated to inspiring a Nicaraguan village and empowering the local women through job opportunities, a healthy lifestyle and the arts, and spearheaded many projects such as a nutrition and fitness program, a suspension bridge over the town river so kids could get to school, and a school kitchen built out of completely recycled plastic bottles. After leaving Nicaragua, Ben continued as a General Contractor for Arrowtown Construction in Sonoma, California and produced multiple prestigious projects in the Sonoma and Napa Valleys including remodeling of old world wineries and builds of multiple spectacular second homes. Three years later, they realized that the latin life and pace was calling once again, and in 2016, he and his wife, two little boys, two dogs and two cats made the leap down to gorgeous San Pancho to pull up their bootstraps and start again. Ben brings his construction knowledge to the Real Estate game as well as his hospitality experience and relentless work ethic and troubleshooting forte to help buyers and sellers achieve their goals.
